At times the transition into study can be daunting and may seem impossible. The Retention and Engagement Officer (REO)can assist students to navigate the process from enrolment through to the completion of their studies. The REO can also support a student who may be having personal or study problems.

The REO may provide students with confidential assistance in understanding and resolving issues related to the demands of student life. They can also assist with accommodation options, budgeting, time management skills, crisis management skills, family matters, attendance issues etc. The REO may refer students to other appropriate support within GOTAFE or externally.
