A Little bit of History
The Benalla Lakeside Craft and Farmers Market was an initiative of the Tourism Committee of Action Benalla Inc.
In late 1994 the market was set up to be up and running in 1995, and the small committee and dedicated group of volunteers worked hard to bring the market into being.
The Market operation and administration transferred to Rotary Club of Benalla and the Lions Club of Benalla in October 2016. Market Coordinators are Doug Smith (Rotary) and Bruce Walker (Lions. The market is held on the Lake Benalla foreshore.

Operating Days & Times
Operating every 4th Saturday of the month except for January (no market), the market is visited by visitors from all over Australia and is promoted through multi media. Since commencement well over $ 100,000 has been donated to the various community organisations of Benalla and to the Benalla Festival.Market hours are from 9am until 1pm
