Centre Against Violence is made up of 2 teams - the Sexual Assault team and the Family Violence team.
The Sexual Assault team provide a service out of Wangaratta, Wodonga, Benalla, Myrtleford and Mansfield for clients living in these towns and surrounding areas.
The Sexual Assault Service is a free and confidential counselling service for victim/survivors of recent and/or past sexual assault and their non-offending family members.
We provide information, options, support and advocacy for clients.
Other programs include group-work, community education and professional consultation. We also work with children displaying problem sexual behaviour (10 years and under) and children displaying sexually abusive behaviour (ages 11-14).
The Sexual Assault Service runs an after hours crisis service for recent victims of sexual assault. If you need access to this service your options include either contacting the Police, presenting to your local hospital or contacting the Sexual Assault Crisis Line (SACL) on their free call number - 1800 806 292.
To make a referral for Sexual Assault, please contact us on 03 57 222 203 from Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and ask to speak to the duty worker.
If you need to speak to someone after hours, please call the Sexual Assault Crisis Line (SACL) on 1800 806 292.
