Swanpool is conveniently located on the Midland Highway (B300), just 25 kilometres south of Benalla, and 38kilometres north of Mansfield. The Swanpool & District Community Development Association, an active group of local representatives, is a successful community development association, awarded Benalla Rural City Council 2014 Community Group of the Year.
The Association has developed a comprehensive website (see link below) - a one stop shop for Swanpool - which covers local history, a calendar of events, Swap Meet and village market information, details of the Bald Archy Exhibition, information on local community groups, emergency services, facilities for hire, sporting groups and things to do.
The Association meets at Swanpool Hall on the second Monday of the month at 7:30pm.
