Physiotherapy
This service is currently operated from the Day Care Centre in Samaria Rd. Benalla. It assists those recovering from orthopaedic surgery, musculoskeletal and sports injuries as well as cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation and arthritis management. Hydrotherapy classes are also offered. The service also provides balance and strength classes.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists help individuals to maintain their independence at home and in the community and provide strategies to help people manage daily living skills. A referral is required for this service.
Speech Pathology
Speech pathologists work with people who have difficulties producing speech sounds, stuttering, expressing and understanding language, projecting voice, swallowing and literacy development. Our service caters for children aged between 0-6 years and adults over the age of 18 years. The speech pathologists also work within the school and kindergarten systems.
Dietetics
Our dietitians can provide (individual and family assessment, information and) advice about healthy eating for all age groups. Dietary information can be provided for vegetarians, people with heart disease or diabetes, coeliac disease and other bowel disorders, overweight and eating disorders. They provide advice during pregnancy and breast feeding and for parents with infants and young children. Our dietitians plan healthy eating and cooking demonstrations within schools and community groups.
Podiatry
Consultation with a podiatrist is available for those with diabetes and other high risk categories such as coronary artery disease.
